SHOCKING WORLDWIDE: “Frankenstein” hasn’t even cooled off, yet Netflix has secretly greenlit “Bride of Frankenstein 2” — but the real bombshell is the identity of the new Bride, an unexpected choice that has the entire fanbase trembling by the minute!

Los Angeles, 22 November 2025 – 04:17 PST.
The ink on Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein is barely dry. The film, released only 72 hours ago, is already the most-watched title in 91 countries and sitting at a near-perfect 96 % on Rotten Tomatoes. Oscar Isaac’s Creature is being called “the definitive monster of our generation.” Critics are already engraving del Toro’s name on a second Best Director statue.

But Netflix never sleeps.

At 03:59 this morning, an internal production listing appeared on the studio’s secure server for exactly nine minutes before it was taken down. Someone screenshotted it. Someone leaked it. And now the entire horror community is screaming.

Title: Bride of Frankenstein 2
Director: Guillermo del Toro
Status: Greenlit – Immediate prep
Start date: March 2026
Lead role “The Bride”: Mia Goth – contract signed 19 Nov 2025

That’s it. Forty-five words that have detonated the internet.

The official announcement is expected Monday, but the secret is already out: Mia Goth, the 32-year-old British scream queen who terrified audiences in X, Pearl, and Infinity Pool, will become del Toro’s Bride — the electrified, bandaged, tragic, furious mate to Oscar Isaac’s Creature — in a direct sequel that begins filming in four months.

Sources inside Netflix say the decision was made in absolute secrecy during the final week of Frankenstein post-production. Del Toro, famously obsessive, screened dailies of Goth’s work in MaXXXine and reportedly turned to producer J. Miles Dale and said, “That’s her. That’s the Bride. No one else even comes close.”

Goth’s casting is being described as “the most dangerous, most exciting horror choice in a decade.” She is not a conventional beauty like Elsa Lanchester in 1935, nor a statuesque bombshell like Jennifer Beals in the abandoned 80s versions. She is angular, feral, magnetic, capable of switching from heartbreaking vulnerability to murderous rage in a single frame. Del Toro allegedly told executives: “Mia can make the Bride both the monster and the victim in the same heartbeat. She will break your soul and then dance on the pieces.”

The leak also revealed the first official logline, stamped CONFIDENTIAL:

“Years after the fire, the Bride awakens in a secret Arctic laboratory, rebuilt by a dying doctor obsessed with perfecting what Frankenstein began. Memory fractured, heart burning with revenge, she will hunt the Creature who abandoned her — and the world that fears her.”

Oscar Isaac is confirmed to return. So are Christoph Waltz as the new mad scientist and, in a twist that has fans howling, Angelina Jolie in early talks to play a ruthless industrialist funding the resurrection program.

Mia Goth has remained silent on social media since the leak, but at 04:44 a.m. she changed her Instagram profile picture to a single black-and-white still: her face half-covered in prosthetic scars, one eye glowing white, lightning reflected in the pupil. No caption. 4.7 million likes in twenty minutes.

Guillermo del Toro finally broke silence on Bluesky at dawn:

“I said I would never do a sequel. Then I saw what Mia can do with pain. Now I have no choice. The Bride lives. And she is glorious.”

The original Frankenstein ends with Isaac’s Creature disappearing into the Arctic ice, presumed dead. Bride of Frankenstein 2 will reveal he survived — and that the doctor who found him also found something else in the wreckage: a female body, charred but not destroyed. Goth’s Bride will not be a helpless damsel. Insiders describe her as “a hurricane in a wedding dress,” faster, stronger, and far more intelligent than her mate.

Budget is reportedly $180 million — higher than the first film — with practical effects supervised once again by legacy FX houses. Shooting begins in Iceland, Romania, and Pinewood Toronto. Release target: Halloween 2027.

Horror fans are already calling it the most anticipated sequel since Alien to Aliens. #MiaGothBride is the number-one worldwide trend. Etsy shops are selling out of white-streaked wigs. A petition titled “Give Mia Goth the Oscar now” has 400,000 signatures and counting.

One anonymous crew member who claims to have seen the early makeup tests wrote on Reddit:

“I’ve worked horror for 15 years. I’ve never been scared by an actor in prosthetics. I saw Mia do one take — just her eyes opening under the bandages — and I dropped my coffee. She’s not playing the Bride. The Bride is playing her.”

Netflix stock jumped 6 % in pre-market trading.

The monster’s mate has a face now.
And that face belongs to Mia Goth.

Sleep well tonight.
