Jennifer Lopez is reportedly headed for divorce, having decided against further efforts to repair her marriage with partner Ben Affleck amid ongoing marital difficulties, the Mirror reports. 

A source clarified that Lopez is no longer interested in investing more effort into their relationship. The mole also revealed Lopez’s decision not to reconcile with Affleck and outlined her plans for 2025 as she prepares to move on from their marriage.

Ben Affleck can be ‘grumpy and a downe

According to a music industry source, the actress tried a lot, “Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it’s not getting any better, it’s worse.” 

Then the insider close to Lopez claimed the reason behind Lopez’s bitter decision, “Ben is a great guy but he can be grumpy and a downer. I think the world saw that in photos like when they were at the Grammys last year; he wouldn’t smile. If they saw how it really was, they would not attack her” 

The source continued, “He chain smokes and cusses and seems irritated a lot of the time. Great director and actor, but not a lot of laughs with him, you know? He is a wonderful father though.” 

Further, the source shared about Affleck’s stressful career, “He is now filming ‘Accounting 2’ and the hours are really long, he is working hard at it and it’s a lot to juggle with marriage and kids. So sometimes he is not in the best mood.”

Jennifer Lopez is a ‘very smart and strong woman’

Lopez intended to persevere through this challenging time. According to her friend, she is unaccustomed to such negative feedback but is determined to move forward and overcome it. The source claimed, “If people could see what she has really gone through they would be easier on her.”

These days, she relies heavily on her close circle of friends. One of them is stylist Shawn Barton, affectionately known as Beezy, while another is vocal coach Stevie Mackey.

Recent reports suggest that Ben and Jennifer may soon announce their divorce, likely on a Friday, a common choice among celebrities in similar situations. 

When asked about this, a source commented, “I think they have wanted to wait until all the kids are out of school and done with school plans and all that before they make their big announcement. They are putting the kids first.”

Lopez cleared her summer schedule to take some personal time for reflection. “She is living alone and not with Ben, I think everyone knows that already, so that is a major change for her and the kids.” noted a close friend.  Indeed, Ben moved into a $100,000-a-month rental near Garner several months ago. “Of course Jenny is sad, she loves Ben, but they are just too different, there is no give and take, there was no blending, they are just on separate tracks.” the source added. 

Jennifer gave their relationship her all, with the insider stating, “She really tried hard to make it work, and it just did not work.” Rather than staying home and mourning, Jennifer is focusing on plans for her future.  One of these plans involves reviving her ‘This Is Me… Live’ tour for the summer of 2025, coinciding with her 56th birthday. She had postponed the 2024 tour, originally set to begin in July, to give herself time to ‘recollect herself.” 

The source claimed, “She is excited about going on tour next year when her personal life is on calmer ground and she can connect with her fans.
