The day when Elon Musk’s son, X, changed the world

It was a bright spring afternoon at the Austin Congress Center, crowded with energy, with 20,000 people gathered to listen to Elon Musk talked about the future of humanity. But nobody in the public would have ever imagined that the most important speech of the day would not come from Elon, but from his five-year-old son, X æ A-12, simply known as “X”.
X was behind the scenes, tightening a sheet of paper in his small hands. His mother, Grimes, knelt next to him, smoothing his dark hair. “Honey, you don’t have to do it,” he whispered. “You can only greet the crowd and say hello.”
X shook his head, his serious brown eyes met his. “No, mom. I have to tell him. Even children have to know the truth.”
Elon Musk, who was close, looked at the clock. His face was calm, but his hands betrayed his concern. He knew what he was about to do his son. “Are you sure of this, friend?” He asked silently. “Once you say these words, everything will change – for our family, for the world.”
X nodded firmly. Even at five years, he understood that some truths were too important to be hidden.
The conductor’s voice resounded in the Congress Center. “Ladies and gentlemen, today we have a very special guest. Please welcome Elon Musk’s son, X æ A-12, on stage!”
The public applauded politely, expecting a cute moment – a shy greeting, perhaps a simple “I love you dad.” But what was about to say would have shocked the world.
—
The room became silent while x it went on stage, her small figure was dominated by the huge microphone. A technician quickly regulated him at his height. X looked towards the sea of faces: scientists, politicians, journalists and millions of people who looked online. He took a deep breath, tightening the sheet of paper.
“Hello everyone,” he began, his small but clear and decisive voice. “My name is x and I want to tell you something important on my family.”
The audience smiled. Some said “Aww,” expecting a sweet story. But the subsequent words of X canceled those smiles.
“My dad has a great secret,” said X, making a break due to effect. “It concerns the real reason why he wants to go to Mars. It’s not what you think.”
Gasps crossed the crowd. Elon, who was looking at the stage on one side, congratulated. Journalists began to take notes and write live tweets. The atmosphere changed from curiosity to tension.
X continued, his voice became stronger. “Six months ago, I found something in dad’s office. It was a folder called ‘Phoenix project.’ Contained photos of the earth, but they did not seem right. The ice at the north and south poles was melting, the oceans had brown spots and some places that had to be land were underwater.”
The audience stood forward, completely concentrated on the little boy.
“I also heard dad talking to his friends – very important help like Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates,” said X. “They talked about how the earth is getting sick faster than they thought. They said that perhaps there is not enough time to fix it.”
Mormorii spread between the crowd. Elon’s face became pale while looking at his son to reveal secrets that had been jealously guarded by world leaders and scientists.
“They said that Mars does not only concern exploration,” X continued. “It is a reserve plan. A place to go when the earth becomes too dangerous. But here is the part that has done me very sad. Mars can only contain a few million people. There are billions of people on earth. Who decides who must go?”
The room was now in chaos. Some cried, others screamed questions, and the cameras flashed like lightning. The voice of X cut the noise.
“Why are adults keeping this secret?” He asked, his trembling voice for emotion. “We children also live on Earth. We deserve to know what is going on to our planet. We deserve to help arrange it.”
Elon ran on stage, kneeling next to his son. “X, enough,” he whispered, trying to pull him gently away from the microphone.
But x wasn’t ready yet. He looked at the audience, his small voice brought a huge message. “Dad always says that we have to work together to solve the big problems. So why are we not working together to save the earth? Why do we keep secret instead of telling the truth?”
—
For a moment, the whole congress center remained silent. Then, slowly, the crowd began to applaud. The applause grew stronger and stronger until it becomes a standing ovation. People applauded, cried and embraced each other.
Elon got up, taking the microphone. His face was a mixture of pride, fear and determination. “My son is right,” he said, his stable but excited voice. “We kept secret because we thought of protecting you. But hiding the truth is not the answer. Working together is.”
Elon confirmed everything that X had said: the climatic crisis was worse than the public had been informed and Mars had been developed as a reserve plan. But he also shared something hopeful.
“We are not renouncing the earth,” Elon declared. “Now, scientists and engineers are working on solutions – Modi to slow down the dissolution of the ice, clean the air and adapt to the increase in the seas. But we need everyone, especially of the young people. The children see the world differently. They ask questions that we do not think they do. They imagine solutions that we do not see. It is time to be part of the conversation.”
The crowd exploded in another applause. For the first time in years, the conversation on climate change did not only concern fear – he had hope.
—
In the following months, X’s speech became viral, seen by billions of people all over the world. Children of each continent began to make their own videos, sharing ideas to help save the planet. A 10 -year -old boy in Brazil planted trees to absorb carbon. A 12 -year -old in Kenya invented a rainwater collection system for areas subject to drought. A fifteen -year -old in Japan designed floating houses for families affected by the rising of sea level.
World leaders were forced to respond. The nations that had been reluctant to act on climate change began to share data and finance initiatives guided by young people. The billionaires promised billions of dollars to support climatic solutions designed by children.
Elon kept his promise, launching a new program called the global advice of young people for the climate. He gave young people a platform to share their ideas and work with scientists, engineers and political managers. X was appointed first council ambassador.
—
A year later, x he climbed on the same stage at the Austin Congress Center, now six years and safer than ever. This time he was not just talking to adults – he was setting up for children from all over the world they had joined the movement they had started.
“Last year, I told you a frightening truth,” X began X. “But today, I want to tell you something hopeful. Now the world listens to us. Adults and children are working together to save the earth and explore the stars. And when we work together, we can do anything.”
The crowd exploded in an applause while x smiled. He had gone from being a curious child to a global symbol of courage and hope. And he had shown that even the smallest voices can change the world.
