NBC News proved once again that it has zero interest in truth and every interest in pushing progressive propaganda. After reporting that Robin Westman, the Minneapolis church shooter, was a man, NBC quickly issued a correction.
Not because it got the facts wrong about the shooting, but because it failed to affirm the shooter’s preferred pronouns.
The shooter, a biological male identifying as a woman, opened fire inside Annunciation Catholic Church. NBC’s original report correctly used “he” when describing Westman.
But after facing backlash from left-wing activists, the network updated its article and apologized, saying, “Westman used female pronouns.”
Let’s get one thing straight. This wasn’t an honest journalistic correction. This was ideological submission. The only thing NBC regretted was not immediately using the shooter’s chosen pronouns. This is the same network that can’t be bothered to use the word “Christian” when covering victims of anti-religious violence.
The message from NBC couldn’t be clearer. If you’re a transgender mass shooter, the media will fall over itself to honor your identity. If you’re a conservative, Christian, or someone simply standing up for truth, you’re vilified, mocked, and silenced.
Charlie Kirk didn’t hold back. “The trans movement is radicalizing the mentally ill into becoming violent terrorists who target children for murder,” he declared, condemning both the ideology and the media that props it up.
And he’s not wrong. We’ve seen a disturbing pattern emerge. First, the Nashville Covenant School massacre by a trans-identifying woman. Now this. And in both cases, the media’s first concern was not the victims, but the gender identity of the shooter.
Matt Walsh said it best. “We’ve defeated them politically. We’ve defeated them culturally. But understand this: now is precisely the moment when trans militants are the MOST dangerous.” This isn’t just about crime. It is about an unholy alliance between the left, the media, and an ideology that cannot be questioned.
Donald Trump Jr. took it a step further. “There is no more violent group in the world per capita than the trans community.” Harsh? Maybe. But when trans-identifying shooters start targeting churches and schools, how long can the media keep pretending this isn’t a crisis?
Meanwhile, NBC is tripping over itself to apologize. Not for ignoring the victims. Not for glossing over the details. But for not bowing fast enough to woke orthodoxy.

This is the world progressives want. A world where criminals are protected and language is policed. Not for truth, but for compliance. Where a mass shooter can be shielded from criticism because of their identity.
And where was the fact-checking machine this time? Nowhere to be found. The media didn’t question the shooter’s motives. They didn’t investigate the ideology. They just rushed to correct the pronouns.
It’s not hard to imagine what would have happened if the shooter had been a Christian white male with a MAGA hat. MSNBC would run wall-to-wall coverage for a week. The Southern Poverty Law Center would add another hate group to their list. And NBC? They wouldn’t be issuing any corrections for misgendering.
This double standard is intentional. It is not oversight. It is strategy. The left uses identity politics as a shield to protect its own, even when those individuals commit heinous crimes.
And while they push pronouns, families are mourning, churches are locking their doors, and Americans are being conditioned to stay silent or be canceled.
NBC’s apology was not about journalistic integrity. It was a confession of allegiance to the far-left dogma that treats gender identity as sacred, no matter the circumstances.
Far-right voices aren’t letting this slide. Elon Musk called it out directly, saying this was yet another example of trans terrorism being overlooked in the name of political correctness.
Benny Johnson echoed Musk, pointing to the broader trend. “If you ever wonder how civilizations fall, this is it. When evil is protected more fiercely than innocence, the rot has already set in.”
The shooter’s victims didn’t get an apology. The congregants at that Catholic church didn’t get a statement of solidarity from NBC. But a pronoun mistake? That got immediate attention.
Let that sink in. In the aftermath of a shooting, the media’s first priority was not justice. It was compliance with a radical gender ideology.
